Today kicks off the RSA conference (ok, technically its the second day but the first keynote). I must say the setup is quite impressive. I was lucky enoug to snag one of the tables w/ internet access and power which brings me to my first thought of the day “How many of these folks protect their connection?” – RSA is a security conference after all. Just from what I can see most aren’t taking the precautions they should – as you probablly guessed. Which brings me to my first tip of the day – when accessing any third party network encrypt (tunnel) your traffic. I am using two (switching between and sometimes using both) UltraSurf and Security KISS). My connection today is being tunneled through Germany curosity of Kiss.
Open with a video about Gutenburg – key highlight :”how knowledge leads to security and how security leads to better knowledge” paraphrasing.
Next up loud band – Queen Extravaganza… not as god as the original but not a bad rendeetion of we will rock you. Followed by “We are the champions” – still too loud and I like loud music. Now they are trying to put infosec words into the song “crazy litlle thing called love” poor execution there – nerdcore you are not.
