Well its that time of year again, the Post a day in May is back – even if, just like that rash from senior week, you want it or not. During the month of May I will be updating the blog and/or twitter everyday. Just like last year, topics will vary depending on what I am doing but will keep most of them security and review (product or place) specific. Some of my May plans that I may, time permitting write about, include:
- I am studying for my CEH and wanted to take it in April but procrastination got the best of me so I will likely take in May. I will give you all my thoughts and notes on what I did to study for it.
- While on the subject of CEH – I may take the QEH form security university – so hopefully I can teach there.
- Raspberry Pi – I plan on building a few things on my PIs 1. a home VPN server – will document what I followed and how well it worked/didn’t work. 2. Provided I can find my second one, I gave too many away, I also plan on putting Kali on. On a side note why is there always “lock picking” villages at the CONs and never a Raspberry Pi village?
- I have been attending the Tech Breakfast, local tech meet-ups, and will be filling in everyone in about what is new and upcoming from them. One interesting one is SpotKick – more about them soon.
- The Rabbott has been trying to get me to hook up with the infraguard folks, – which I may do, can’t hurt.
- Some good movies coming up and the geek in me will make sure I am there front and center. Yes, I am going to Iron Man 3 tomorrow and yes, I will post a review on it.
- Weight loss – Yeah I know not that much fun or exiting, and definitely not security related, but a goal of mine to get ready for phase B of Krav Maga. I figure if I post about it will keep be on track – Don’t worry I wont bore you. In fact, I may be one of the few who does no dieting weight loss – just burn more than you put in (exercise your butt off everyday).
- Last but certainly not the least, I am lucky enough to be celebrating my 15th anniversary this month, and yes, like you, I have no idea why she stayed with me so long but it is definitely worth celebrating.
UPDATE: I forgot to mention two items that will happen in May – 1. FOSE the government conference down in DC – I will attend the free stuff and report how it was and 2. And I really hope this one happens even if not in May – building my own Pwnpad from the release of the community edition of PwnPad. I use their PwnPlug built of the community edition and hope to do the same for the PwnPad – just got to convince the wifey to let me purchase it.
